The Electric Department has the responsibility of providing reliable power throughout the Nation. They operate and maintain over 600 miles of transmission and distribution lines, serving 3,795 customers. TOUA provides electricity through five substations ranging in size from 450 MVA to 5 MVA.
In addition, the mechanics that maintain TOUA’s vehicles are also part of the Electric Department. TOUA has a full-service vehicle maintenance shop that services and repairs the utility line trucks and all other vehicles. TOUA’s Electric Department staff is committed to providing consistent, reliable power by assigning personnel to respond to outages 24 hours a day. TOUA’s Electric Department staff has prioritized shortening its response time to communities that have power outages or other electric power concerns. |
