ALERT - Information from the US Custom & Border Protection Office - Tucson Sector confirmed a scam that has a person posing as an officer from their Department. The call will be about a suspicious package intercepted in Texas. The package is traced to you through the mail and a phone number. The package was full of drugs and a raid was conducted where more information was obtained on you connecting you to other illegal activities. They will tell you there is a warrant for your arrest for drug trafficking and money laundering. They will appear to be helping you but it is a scam. Please be aware and never give out any personal bank information or your social security number. The drone inspection went as planned. Wind was a small issue, but Firmateck got it done. Using a drone can take the inspection time per pole from 15-20 minutes per pole to 20-30 seconds per pole. Our goal is deploying the UAV for pole and power inspections to proactively indentify potential outages causing issues and repair them before the electric service is impacted. As we embrace the lastest technology to improve reliability and control costs, TOUA will conduct its first pilot test for Visual Inspection with an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle - a drone.On April 5, 2024 a drone inspection will be conducted in the areas north of State Highway 86 in Sells. Only images of our power poles and equipment along our utility easements and right of ways will be collected.Firmatek, a technology company based in San Antonio, Texas, is the vendor TOUA has chosen to do the drone inspection pilot project. The company has provided enterprise solutions to a variety of industries including mining, solid waste, and electric utilities for the past 30 years. It is important for people to know that all Firmatek operations are fully trained in the operation of this device and that we will be abiding by all federal regulations that govern UAVs. How Do I Sign-up For Telephone Service In My Home?
You would need to come into the telephone office at TOUA and complete the new service application. There is an installation fee of $38.00 for new service. If there has never been service there before, there are two documents that are needed before installation. 1) Land Assignment 2) District Resolution.

Does TOUA require a deposit for new utility customers?
Yes. If you have never had a bill with TOUA the deposit amount is $400 Electric/Water services. You may call TOUA’s water and electric billing department for any questions you may have regarding the deposit. If you have had any type of service with TOUA and your account(s) are in good standing your deposit will be waived. You may not have to pay the deposit if you can provide a letter of credit from a previous utility company where you were not delinquent more than twice during a 12-month period. TOUA does require a completed customer information form. What Do I Need to Do To Get Water Service from TOUA?
New service for water and wastewater includes: A district resolution or community resolution for the home/land site authorizing all utilities to be provided is needed. This would include electric, telephone, water/wastewater, and propane. There are various factors that will affect a new water customer. It is strongly recommended that the customer come to TOUA to obtain a check list of documents needed to acquire a water service line and for access to the wastewater (sewer) system. Will TOUA fill a tank that does not belong to them?
TOUA will fill a tank that belongs to a customer, if the customer comes in to apply for service. Once an application is on file, and propane is prepaid, a delivery can be scheduled. TOUA will not deliver to a competitor’s tank (Barnettes, Amerigas, etc.)
